Drove down to Stanthorpe left around 7.30 and went via the office then on south west and we arrived around 11:30.

Stopped for gas at Warwick, the guy at the gas station said it has not rained since Christmas. The wind had been blowing from the south and this was wrong for rain it had to come from the west.

The camp grounds at Stanthorpe are pretty good for bush camping. There is a hill which has a few rough tracks through it and camp sites dotted around. This area is hilly and rocky the granite rocks out crops are a feature. The place turned out to be quite good as a camp ground and very quiet.

In the afternoon we walked to town, it was about 30 minutes or 2 kilometres,. We walked down most of the main street and then did a pub crawl hour, visited five of the local watering holes.
