Continue reading →The walk around the rim is spectacular and well worth the effort, the rock formations are fantastic and even with the many travellers on the track there’s still a feeling of solitude. Well marked but not over developed, it felt a privilege to do this walk.

We had decided to walk around Uluru which is about ten kilometres but we did all the side shoots as we went. On one of these side trips there was a cave of original Aboriginal cave paintings, this was the first I have ever seen and it was worth the trip alone.
