Okay what’s My Choice

Good Old Chinwagging Posted on 10 January 2012 by Chinwagger5 June 2021

The next morning in Moree I took the car to the tyre repair place which was within walking distance, a good thing in long run as I did a lot of walking between them and the motel room. They looked at the car and declared I had bent the wheel, which means I needed a new one, and on closer observation … Continue reading →

Birdsville day off

Good Old Chinwagging Posted on 20 August 2007 by Chinwagger21 December 2017

Today was a down day, time to get familiar with our surrounds at Birdsville and do some washing, stock up on things we had run out of or were likely to run out of, as from here we are travelling down the Birdsville Track and the Oodnadatta track on our way to Ayer’s Rock. After we had lunch we walked … Continue reading →

2007 To the Rock and Back

Good Old Chinwagging Posted on 15 August 2007 by Chinwagger5 November 2017

This is a journal of our trip out west in August and September of 2007. Our plan is to drive to Birdsville following the Birdsville and Oodnadatta Tracks to the Stuart Highway, heading north. We would then stop at Uluru and Alice Springs and continue home via Tennant Creek and Mt Isa. Some short instructions in looking at this diary. We have used Google Maps to provide a complete Route Map. At … Continue reading →

First time to Stanthorpe

Good Old Chinwagging Posted on 29 April 2005 by Chinwagger5 November 2017

Drove down to Stanthorpe left around 7.30 and went via the office then on south west and we arrived around 11:30. Stopped for gas at Warwick, the guy at the gas station said it has not rained since Christmas. The wind had been blowing from the south and this was wrong for rain it had to come from the west. … Continue reading →
