2016 Feb New Zealand so Far Good Old Chinwagging Posted on 11 February 2016 by Chinwagger14 December 2018 Croquet on the lawn at the in laws the house in the background is their place in the heart of Wellington just a wonderful spot to be.. Four elder gentleman playing croquet on the lawn the gentleman in the foreground is my Brother in Law Chris Brother in law has a new boat, its a little rubber one for using in the Marlborough Sounds, we are figuring out how to blow it up and launch in the evening. First day on Taupo parked in a beach while we stretch our legs The Lai crowd on the beach we found yesterday discussing the actives for the day, old folks behaving very badly Apparently being dragged around behind a high speed boat on a blow up plastic thing was the thing we should be doing After our fun we stopped at the Pub for a drink and a feed, not the boat park not a car park. The valley that we stayed in for the hunting lodge at Te Para. It is a magnificent piece of country side. The Rangitikei River flows through the valley right by the Te Para hut. Or maybe you just terrify yourself Then maybe it’s time to settle with a Jam Jar full of Bourbon and Dry in front of the camp fire. This is Te Para hut, no electricity and a long drop toilet. It had plenty of fresh water, and hot water with a nice outdoor shower around the back of the building, and the kitchen had gas stove and as you see a big BBQ. The beds were in two bunk rooms which housed about six people each. We had boys in one bunk room and girls in the other. Share on FacebookTweet
